HOMERIC POEMS
It all began with the feeling of departure. A sense of journey that set everything in motion. The image of a sailboat, the light mirrored on the water, the air filling the sails – these dictated the mood of a hospitality space conceived as a memory. Not austere, but intimate; with soft lines and textures that exude the serenity of the sea.
Wood and rope, the elements that firmly tie every seafaring vessel into a floating whole, quietly but firmly bind in unity the “now” that dwells in the “here”. They carry the saltiness of the deck— the salt that wraps around Santorini.
Bronze and inox reflect the glow of the sun, caressing the island. The shades of blue seem to be borrowed from the sky’s abundance. Nostalgia is inscribed in the space as a gentle reminder- like a page from a Homeric epic, forever pinned to the wall of memory.
This space was designed to ‘breathe’. To give rise to experiences, images, reflections. To embrace the visitor like the song of the sea. To invite them to dwell in a place where dreams become memories, and nostalgia is cast into form.
